Mrs. Zukie is a contemporary artist & Muralist from NYC and the creator and designer of the Zukie character. Mrs. Zukie attended C.W Post University and received her BFA. Mrs. Zukie has participated in art shows and charity events worldwide. She also travels to events like NYCC and Dcon to show case her work and to meet the fan base. Mrs. Zukie started drawing at the age of 5 and since then never put down her pencil. Her goal is to spread Zukie's love all around the world!

Anthony Lister is a contemporary Painter, best known for his merging of “high” and “low” cultural imagery. He is looked to as one of the most skilled and highly revered painters among his contemporaries. A gifted ‘Adventure Painter’ of both narrative and still-life, his paintings capture most purely his generation and the imagery that has defined it. Without compromise, Lister’s works have bridged the gap between the street and formal gallery settings, usually reserved for an exclusive group of artists.

Yoshimasa Tsuchiya was born in 1977 and specialised in sculpture at Tokyo University of the Arts, and completed PhD, Sculpture Conservation at its graduate school in 2007. He was exposed to numerous old works there, and learnt that they had been created with remarkable boldness and novelty in each era. Based on this experience, he has continued to take on challenges with traditional techniques and innovative expression. In recent years, exhibitions have been held at Yokosuka Museum of Art and THE GINZA SPACE with increasing popularity and reputation.　

Kengo Nakamura studied Japanese painting at Tama Art University and has created unique paintings using motifs that represent contemporary society, such as emoticons in emails, floor plans of one-room flats, cartoon balloons and character silhouettes. In addition to collaborating with creators from other genres, he has organised exhibitions and symposia, and is one of the leading artists of our time. In recent years, his reputation has grown significantly overseas, as he holds solo exhibitions and exhibits his works in museums.

Satoru KOIZUMI completed his postgraduate studies in sculpture at Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts in 2009 and now lives and works in Okinawa, Japan. He is one of the artists who has received attention in the last few years for his official collaboration works with Disney. He has harmonised faces and figures of various animals, from the ferocious to the vulnerable, living in their natural habitats, with those of humans living in society, to create a single life in sculpture. The seemingly lovable wood sculpture, carved with traditional techniques, reveals his deep reflection on the diversity of contemporary society.

Fukuo Tanaka, who creates works using heat-resistant glass with high transparency called borosilicate glass, studied at an art school. He has pursued the characteristics of borosilicate glass and freely created pretty and delicate works with the distinctive technique. He is in charge of creating staring glass eyes with the white, irises and pupils for Yoshimasa Tsuchiya’s sculptures, as we saw at Tsuchiya’s exhibition “Chimera" in March 2021. The works are reminiscent of natural and universal beauty that exists in the world according to certain rules without human hands.

Issei Otani studied art at Wako University, and has been actively exhibiting his works, painting on familiar subjects. His collaborations have included music, fashion and hotels. He boldly blends different elements of the West and East, such as powerful distortion of objects to emphasise subjectivity, use of intense colours of emotions, composition flatness, rhythmic intensity of lines, and inky graphic expression, to create a unique world based on his own experiences.

Brian Leo graduated from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of Arts in 1999 with a BFA, and is now based in New York City. He has exhibited extensively in solo and group shows internationally, including previous shows here at MEGUMI OGITA GALLERY. Leo is known for his large scale installations of small paintings which sometimes extend from floor to ceiling. Leo’s source material draws broadly on personal identity, current events, pop culture, and social issues, resulting in brightly colored paintings of cartoonish forms and appropriated images.
