MEGUMI OGITA GALLERY B1 2-16-12 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo

MEGUMI OGITA GALLERY is pleased to present a special solo exhibition of Aya Saito "Darumasan ga koronda".

Aya Saito(b.1981 in Tokyo) graduated from Joshibi University of Art and Design.
Aya got the prize of Yoshitomo Nara at GEISAI 5 competition in 2004.
Also she won the grand prize at FOIL AWARD and published her first book "Darumasan ga koronda"(the publisher: Little More) as the winner in 2005.

Even she got legitimate education of art, she still stucks to her own style of painting and express it on the paper directly.
She often choose the paper and oil paint for her works, this combination makes her originality as well.

We will show around 25 paintings which we selected new or recent works on large papers and cover a whole wall in this exhibition.

What makes people paint pictures...
"I can't live without painting." Aya said. She has to keep painting for expressing all inside her body/mind.
You can feel her strong passion for painting when you face to her works.

We hope you enjoy the special solo exhibition of Aya Saito "Darumasan ga koronda" at MEGUMI OGITA GALLERY.
